Impact of depleting endogenous NONO or RALY proteins on YB-1 transcript levels. A) SW480 cells were transfected with the indicated siRNA molecules and 96 hours later cytoplasmic RNAs were extracted for RT-PCR analyses with primers specific to the YB-1 and HPRT1 mRNAs. All primers used for the PCR step hybridized to two different exons of the target genes. RT indicates the presence or the absence of the reverse transcriptase for the cDNA synthesis step.
