  1. Relative SKI protein levels in a series of cultured melanoma cell lines were determined by scanning densitometry of Western analyses. Values for subcutaneous tumor growth in mice represent tumor incidence at 40 days post-injection. Matrigel™ invasion results are presented as relative values compared to the 1205Lu cell line to which a value of 100 was given arbitrarily. Values for bone metastases in mice represent the incidence at 5 weeks post-inoculation of tumor cells. Details about experimental procedures may be found in [36, 37]. N.D.: not determined
