Intracellular expression levels of 12 blood and bone marrow donor samples and 62 leukemia patient samples were assessed flow cytometrically. Relative expression analyses compared to an unspecific IgG control reveal frequent global AKT phosphorylation in hematopoietic benign and malignant mononuclear cells - whereas mean phosphorylation levels of both Ser473 and Thr308 are statistically significantly increased in leukemia.
