Anti- hCGβ constructs knock down human chorionic gonadotropin protein expression and cause apoptosis. (A) Immunohistochemistry was performed using primary antibodies against hCG and secondary antibody conjugated with Cy3. The positive staining (orange – FT 510 filter) was observed in cells lacking anti-hCGβ construct – arrowheads. hCG was not detected in cells transfected with the anti-hCGβ U1 snRNA construct 702P/767A that co-expresses GFP (green – FT 510 filter) as a marker – arrows.
