  1. At 5 weeks of age, rats were treated with 0.05% I2 in the drinking water. Two weeks later, rats received a single i.p. injection of MNU (50 mg/Kg bw), and the administration of I2 was continued until 16 weeks had elapsed. indicates mean ± SD. Asterisk (*) indicates P < 0.05 compared to MNU.
