  1. Standard deviation = SD, Pentoxifylline = PTX, Adriamycin = ADR. Cell cultures were treated with PTX or ADR or their combination, 24 hours later the cells were harvested and apoptosis was determined by flow cytometry using Annexin V stained, H2A.X and DNA-histone nucleosome test by ELISA. The results represent the mean ± SD of three independent experiments carried out in triplicate. Statistical analysis Student "t" test. *p < 0.001 vs corresponding untreated control group.
