D, E, The number of apoptotic T-helper cells as well as apoptotic regulatory T cells is significantly increased in BE and EAC compared to the controls. F, The number of apoptotic cytotoxic T cells is significantly increased in EAC compared to the controls. Biopsies were taken from control, BE, and EAC mucosa and MELC staining cycles and data processing were performed as described in the Experimental Procedures section.
