MSC coculture inhibits DNA damage-induced p53 accumulation in primary BCP-ALL cells. (A) BCP-ALL blasts from ALL5 were cultured in the absence or presence of a confluent layer of iMSC#3 and irradiated as described in Figure 1A. 2 h after IR, BCP-ALL blasts were harvested, lysed and subjected to immunoblot analysis with antibodies against p53 and actin. The immunoblot shows one representative experiment of four. Densitometric analysis of immunoblots was performed as described in Materials and Methods. The histogram shows mean values with error bars indicating SEM values (n = 4, *P < 0.05 by paired samples t test).
