The expression of 34,144 mRNA transcripts was determined using a microarray in 15 corresponding tumor (red bar below heatmap) and normal (green) renal tissue samples. The mRNA expression profile allowed accurate discrimination of normal and clear cell renal carcinoma tissue; the heatmap demonstrates clustering of tissue samples according the expression of the 25 most up-/downregulated genes
