CircBFAR promotes PDAC proliferation, migration and invasion via the miR-34b-5p/MET axis. a, b The upregulation of MET and p-Akt (Ser 473), in PANC-1 and BxPC-3 cells transfected with the miR-34b-5p inhibitor was reversed by knockdown of circBFAR, as detected by western blotting. GAPDH was used as a loading control. c-e Colony formation, and Transwell migration and invasion assays demonstrated that transfection with the miR-34b-5p inhibitor increased the proliferation, migration, and invasion ability of PANC-1 and BxPC-3 cells; however, this function was reduced after co-transfection with sh-circBFAR#2. Statistical significance was assessed using two-tailed t-tests for two group comparison, and one-way ANOVA followed by Dunnett’s tests for multiple comparison.
