Immunohistochemical analysis of HOXD9 expression in gliomas and normal brain tissue. Only a few HOXD9 immunopositive cells were detected in normal tissues from the cerebral cortex in an oligodendroglioma (A). In an anaplastic astrocytoma (B, WHO grade III) and a glioblastoma (C, WHO grade IV), HOXD9 immunopositive cells were observed in both the cytoplasm and the nucleus. (D) No primary antibody control.
