HDAC inhibitors, SAHA and valproic acid, suppressed expression of pri-miR-17-92a, miR-92a and c-Myc in colon cancer cells. HCT116 human colon cancer cells were treated with 0.5 uM SAHA or 1 mM valproic acid for 24 h before harvesting. The abundance of a) pri-miR-17-92a and b) miR-92a was measured using qPCR.
