G1 cell cycle arrest mediated by Aurora-A wildtype and K162R. (A) Serum starved Wi-38 cells were infected with adenoviruses expressing either Aurora-A or control (lacZ) proteins. Cell were induced by serum addition and protein levels were compared to those of equally treated T98G cells 26 hours post induction (B) Arrested Wi-38 cells were infected with adenoviruses expressing the proteins indicated. 48 hours after infection serum was added and PI-stainings were collected. A representative of three experiments is shown. (C) Cells were treated as in (B) and a ³H-thymidine incorporation assay was performed. Bars depict means and SD of three independent experiments.
