Loss of function of CASP8AP2 / FLASH induces expression of NEFH. (A) The expression of NEFH 72 hours following silencing of CASP8AP2/FLASH (2 different siRNAs) as measured by microarray analysis. (B) The expression of NEFH at 10, 24, 48 and 72 hours following silencing of CASP8AP2/FLASH (three different siRNAs) as measured by microarray analysis. (C) Western blot analysis shows increased abundance of NEFH protein 72 hours after silencing of CASP8AP2/FLASH. (D) Molecular characteristics of NEFH in colorectal cell lines and primary tumors. (i) The expression of NEFH mRNA in colorectal cell lines. All data is expressed as Log2 fold change from that observed in normal mucosa sample. (ii) The expression of NEFH in 28 primary tumor samples. All data is expressed as Log2 fold change from that observed in normal mucosa sample.
