Growth rate of SiHa _CDV compared to SiHa _parental . Cells were seeded at a density of 2.5 x 10³ cells per well in a volume of 0.1 ml into 96-well microtiter plates and allowed to proliferate. At several time-points, cells were trypsinized and the number of cells was determined with a Coulter Counter. Doubling time (DT) was calculated with the formula: DT = (t - t₀)/(log2N - log2N₀), where t and t₀ are the times at which the cells were counted, and N and N₀ are the cell numbers at times t and t₀.
