p8-silenced Panc-1 and BxPc-3 pancreatic cells. p8 expression was inhibited in both Panc-1 and BxPc-3 pancreatic cells by using an antisense strategy based on an infection with a retrovirus expressing the p8 asRNA (antisense RNA). The pLPC empty vector was used as a control. Cells were infected with both p8 asRNA or empty retrovirus and the antibiotic-selected cells were analyzed by Western blot to evaluate the intracellular amounts of p8 protein. β-tubulin was used as a housekeeping control.
