NMR-based isotopomer analysis of intracellular aspartate synthesis from glucose. The regions of 2D TOCSY spectra obtained from NHBE, hT/LT and hT/LT/Ras cells specific for aspartate were analyzed for relative 13C enrichment. Spectra from NHBE, hT/LT and hT/LT/Ras cells are shown. 13C isotopomers were quantified by indirect detection of protons in the 2D TOCSY NMR spectrum and % 13C-enrichment is indicated adjacent to the cross peaks.
