A) Seven different cytogenetic subgroups of conventional lipoma: lipomas with t(3;12)(q27;q13-15), lipomas with t(5;12)(q32-33;q14-15), lipomas with various other rearrangements of 12q14-15, lipomas without any of the known cytogenetic hallmarks of lipoma, lipomas with structural rearrangement of 6p21-22, lipomas with deletion of chromosome arm 13q, and lipomas with ring chromosomes. B) Six other subtypes of lipomatous tumor: angiolipomas, spindle cell lipomas, hibernomas, atypical lipomas, well-differentiated liposarcomas, and myxoid liposarcomas.
